　　CBS夏季档13集新剧《救世 Salvation》于美国时间7月12日首播，该剧由Alex Kurtzman负责﹑Liz Kruger与Craig S hapiro编剧，曾获奥斯卡提名的Juan Carlos Fresnadillo会执导首集。

　　《救世》讲述一个麻省理工研究生Liam及一个技术界的明星Darius Tanz，他们为五角大楼一个低权限职员Grace带来惊天发现：有颗小行星离撞击地球仅余六个月的时间。因此Liam及Darius得负责起一个拯救世界的秘密计划，Liam还得对他所爱的人保守这秘密。

　　Charlie Rowe饰演主角Liam﹑Santiago Cabrera另一主角Darius Tanz﹑Jennifer Finnigan饰演五角大楼的新闻秘书兼单亲母亲Grace Darrow，本来在两方面平衡得很好的她，因为知道小行星要撞击地球而感到世界被颠倒；Grace加入了政府拯救人类的秘密计划，不过她得在所爱前保守此秘密，而且还得面对未曾想象过的考验。

　　Jacqueline Byers饰演Jillian，是个有抱负的科幻小说作家，被Darius招募到一个拯救人类的「理论项目」，不过这项目最终可能要真的实行。Ian Anthony饰演副国防部长Harris Anders，完全的华盛顿（政治界）人，被指派负责那要拯救世界的秘密计划。Harris是个致力为国家的人，但在领导这计划时，他发现自己内心在命令及良心之间的抉择下受到猛烈冲击。

　　Shazi Raja饰演Amanda Charles，是个DC特区一个小报新闻网站的初级记者，她想报导一篇大新闻，好让她能成为调查记者，然而她发现这故事会导致全球恐慌；Rachel Drance饰演Zoe，即将毕业的高校生，她过去一直是成功者，做的事全是「正确」的方向，但她没意料到自己会发现一个可改变生命的秘密，幷且得承受起风险来。

　　Dennis Boutsikaris饰演Malcolm Croft,博士，Liam在麻省理工的教授兼导师。当Liam因为突然的发现而在半夜跑到他家时，Malcolm起初不屑一顾，但再更进一步研究Liam的发现后，他理解到这年轻天才查出足以改变人类历史的大事件……而且已经近在眉睫。Aaron Poole饰演Lazlo，Darius的儿时朋友，他和Darius有段长时间﹑复杂的历史，不过他仍旧在当深受Darius信任的安全主管及麻烦解决者。Erica Luttrell饰演多集角色Claire Rayburn，总统高级顾问的她与副国防部长Harris Anders因救世秘密计划而有紧密合作。
