　　CBS早前预订《X档案 The X-Files》制片人Frank Spotnitz的剧集《赎回 Ransom》，由在《黑帆 Black Sails》饰演Woodes Rogers的Luke Roberts主演。该剧自14年开始开发，与法国﹑德国及加拿大合作拍摄。而现在有Sarah Greene﹑Brandon Jay McLaren﹑Nazneen Contractor加盟该剧

　　该剧是根据有丰富经验的危机谈判专家Laurent Combalbert及Marwan Mery的经历得到灵感；预订了13集的新剧《赎回》，讲述危机及人质谈判专家Eric Beaumont（Luke Roberts饰），他十分了解罪犯的行径，能洞悉人类行为的他从各种困难的绑架﹑勒索案件中找到解决办法。尽管是危险的赌博，但他决心即使面对世界上各危险罪犯时，也不会用诉诸暴力的方法。当Eric在自己的范畴所向披靡时，他却跟家人﹑朋友﹑同事之间的关系往往会变得复杂化。

　　Sarah Greene饰演Maxine Carlson，是队中的新人，急于表现自己﹑Brandon Jay McLaren饰演心理分析员Oliver Yates﹑Nazneen Contractor饰演前警察Zara Hallam。
