　　安东尼（马丁·辛 Martin Sheen 饰）在一次偶然中邂逅了名为妮可尔（杰奎琳·比塞特 Jacqueline Bisset 饰）的美丽女子，坠入了情网的安东尼为了接近妮可尔，隐瞒了自己的真实身份，来到妮可尔的家中成为了一名男保姆。
　　
　　妮可尔有一个小女儿，这个女孩的个性非常的娇蛮和放纵，让安东尼和妮可尔操碎了心。起初，小姑娘对安东尼的存在非常的抵触，处处和他作对，给他惹了一堆的麻烦，但随着时间的推移，小姑娘感受到了安东尼对她无微不至的关怀，渐渐接受了他的存在，而妮可尔和安东尼之间的距离也越来越近。就在这个节骨眼上，安东尼得到了他的入职通知，工作的地点恰巧就在妮可尔所在的银行。
