　　夏天應是盡情玩耍的日子，但達莫學院嚴厲傲慢的校長摩根（黃榮亮），卻替二年級的學生安排了乏味的歌劇欣賞課，五個由洛伊（布朗森平丘）帶領的頑皮學生耐不住無聊，逃課出去玩耍，引起了一陣混亂，被摩根校長稱為〃小搗蛋〃。這五個小搗蛋雖屢遭校長嚴厲警告，卻仍變本加厲，製造出更多的麻煩。一日，學校前往海洋公園作校外教學，他們看到一隻叫〃皮皮〃的海獅一臉憂鬱。於是決定利用校車將牠偷運出水族館，放在校長的浴缸中。不料校工竟誤以為〃皮皮〃是隻巨大的地鼠而打算殺死牠，更糟的是，一個賊在此時偷走了死賴皮，計劃將牠賣到馬戲團！當五個小搗蛋得知此事後，決定立刻展開救援行動，平時總是成事不足敗事有餘的小搗蛋們，這回能完成任務嗎？
