科波拉版《牡丹花下》目前确定参演的卡司包括妮可·基德曼、克尔斯滕·邓斯特以及艾丽·范宁。原版影片的故事背景为美国内战时期，克林特·伊斯特伍德饰演的北方士兵误打误撞的进入一所南方女子寄宿学校，他的到来也令学校中的女老师们纷纷春心萌动，而嫉妒、复仇等人性中的黑暗面也在逐渐发酵。
